Maintenance, Improvement And Upgrading Of Roads, Bridges And Culverts Phase 1 Sharjah – Dhaid Road

The Project Comprises the Maintenance, Improvement and Upgrading of Roads, Bridges and Culverts for the following road:

Sharjah – Dhaid Road is a 46km dual carriageway. This road serves as the main East – West Inter Emirate Link and as such carries considerable volume of traffic comprising a mix of cars, pickups and Heavy Goods Vehicles.

The works on this road shall include but not be limited to the following:

Construction of Inner shoulders and installation of metal beam guard rails and associated service works from Interchange No.5 to Dhaid (approx. 35km) Drainage improvement works

Reinstatement of eroded embankment slopes and concrete spillways.

Strengthening of existing pavement from Interchange No.5 to Dhaid (approx 35km) by reconstruction of the slow lane and milling and overlaying of the fast lane.

General maintenance works to side slopes, New Jersey barriers, kerbs, road markings, traffic signs and drainage facilities.
